US LBO´s 2000-2007 ......

Add the secound half of 2006 plus the the 2007 volume and the spike or should i better say excess is even more obvious. No wonder that the first "cracks" are no longer to hide......

LBOs are just a corporate flipping scam whereby grifters borrow money, buy a company, sell off the assets, fire the employees, cut costs, borrow heavily against the remaining assets, give themselves huge bonuses, then sell off the rotting hulk to the pension funds in a "new" IPO. I hope they choke on it.

JMF - would you be so kind as to do two things:

1) Add a categories section to the sidebar? This can be done via the dashboard.

2) Give a short update on the German economy, if you follow it in detail?

Thx.

Q: When do you think the world will tire of lending money to deadbeat Wall Street grifters?

I blame the rest of the world for propping up our corrupt monetary system. They have no basis or legitimate reason to make a complaint when they get the final screwing, IMO.

Hello,

i´ll try to publish "categories".

But my technical skills are very limited and the dashboard looks like a mystery to me :-).

Hi edgar,

"Moin" is our local (Schleswig-Holstein Germany ) universal world for hello, hi, good morning etc.

I hope that the FCB will wake up and stop buying all the worthless iou´s. Everytime i read the great coverage from Brad Setzer (blogroll) it makes me speechless....

Hi jmf! I meant to tell you, I really like your blog, you do a very good job with it, and the hard work shines through.

The funny thing about the FCBs is that some are debauching their own currencies in response to the sinking dollar. Why they still have the rescue vessels lashed to the sinking ship USS Dollar is a mystery to me. Actually, that's not even accurate, they are flooding their own ships with bilge water from the USS Dollar so it appears as if all is well. They do this at times by allowing the lowest element of US society to take advantage of them and the US middle class. This is not being a friend to the average American and is a fraud upon the poor.

JMF - go to the dashboard, pick this blog if you have more than one, click on the template tab at the top, and then click add page element. You should be able to select the categories element, and it will be placed at the bottom of the existing sidebar elements.
